Victor Sheverda
Victor Sheverda, an Assistant Project Manager from Parker, Colorado, has a deep passion for the construction industry. What drives him professionally is the sense of accomplishment in executing a residential or commercial building project from start to finish. But what motivates him personally is the realization that a once empty piece of land or vacant high-rise floor will now be a home or business with tenants who will go on to accomplish their own success stories.
He always knew he would enter the construction industry, a profession where he could use both his hands and identify ways of adding value and seeking means of improving efficiency. Even more important, he comes from a family whose parents owned their own construction business. During his years at Colorado State University as a construction management major, he was heavily involved in the school’s Design-Build Institute Of America (DBIA) chapter and served in leadership roles, including president. He was also vital to the construction management department’s Integrated Project Delivery ASC Competition Team. This is a graduate-level competition where teams from universities across the Rocky Mountain region individually compete to solve real construction management problems, which they then compile into a proposal and present to a panel of industry judges within a limited time frame.
